Offer rental license and SaaS contracts flexibly and invoice with ease
More and more IT companies offer their customers subscription contracts. Customers rent either a fixed number of licenses on-premises or a flexible number of licenses in the cloud (“software as a service” or SaaS). With SaaS contracts, customers benefit from the flexibility of paying for only as many licenses per month as they actually need.
IT enterprises want to be able to manage SaaS with a minimum of effort. Our ERP system SITE makes it possible for them configure license items so as to permit quantity-dependent periodic billing—even if prices are on a sliding scale. It’s easy for a sales department to offer all kinds of subscription contracts, add them to a contract following sale and invoice them periodically.
Before billing you can update “used” quantities in SITE. If quantities change for the past billing period, the old contract lines are automatically canceled and new ones are created. SITE not only invoices the quantities, but also refigures prices automatically if there is a sliding scale (see screenshot, Box 1). You can then quickly invoice for services by pressing a button (Box 2).
Bottom line: Customers who use our ERP system SITE can:
- manage subscription contracts (rental and SaaS contracts) with a minimum of effort
- conveniently invoice for SaaS contracts with prices on a sliding scale
- use this billing method for all leased services, such as infrastructure-as-a-service or platform-as-a-service
