Increasing the productivity of Microsoft NAV partners: how to go about it?

The productivity of Microsoft Dynamics NAV partners has been stagnating for years. Why is that? And what can be done to improve it, particularly in view of new business models such as the cloud and subscriptions?

In his presentation, the industry expert Dr. Josef Böck, for many years CEO of Singhammer IT Consulting AG—itself an Microsoft NAV Partner—offers hard figures and ideas on this topic.

The presentation “Employee Productivity of NAV Partners: How Can We Measure and Improve It?” drew a large audience at Directions EMEA 2016. No surprise there: the more than 1,700 participants attending the annual conference were mostly Microsoft NAV partners from many countries, all of whom face similar challenges.

Dr. Böck starts with these questions: As NAV partners, we promise our customers that IT will increase their productivity—but will it? And how about our own productivity? Why are the sales figures for average NAV partners so far below those for other IT enterprises, like Microsoft?
