The challenge

The Stuttgart-based company ELO Digital Office GmbH, a leading manufacturer of enterprise content management (ECM) systems, was faced with a major challenge: replacing a highly individualized, outdated ERP system. In addition to the technical migration, the complexity of the internal processes, such as the billing of over 1000 software maintenance contracts with numerous articles, was a major hurdle.

The large number of individual customizations in our old Navision system was not sustainable. We wanted a modern ERP setup in the cloud that also covered our specific requirements."

The solution

Together with the experienced consultants from Singhammer IT Consulting AG, a comprehensive migration project was implemented in just seven and a half months. Seven specialist departments - from the ELO Academy to consulting and financial accounting - were transferred to the new cloud world of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in a structured manner. The DYCE Subscription Billing module was used, which enabled ELO to dispense with its previous in-house solutions.

The DYCE Time Tracking app will also play an important role in the future, for example through the intuitive recording of recurring project times directly via templates based on the Outlook calendar.

The result

The project was successfully completed on schedule - including the subsequent hypercare phase, during which Singhammer was always on hand as a reliable partner. The ELO-specific requirements were mapped using a combination of standard functionalities and targeted adaptations. The modular structure of DYCE offers great advantages:

The DYCE Time Tracking app was rated 4 out of 5 stars - minor optimization requests for user administration and role assignment were placed openly and constructively.
