Singhammer does good - because togetherness counts for something with us

Anyone who thinks of sober figures, dry processes and purely factual meetings when they think of an ERP consulting company has never been to Singhammer.
Because for all our professionalism, technical depth and software expertise, there is something that drives us every day:
We love what we do. And we love working together.

Our charity project arose precisely out of this togetherness. Not as a compulsory program. Not as a marketing measure. But as an honest desire to give something back - with heart, attitude and genuine participation.

The charity project at Singhammer:
It all started with a question...

How can we do good and all pull together?
At Singhammer, we live self-organization and New Work not only on paper. Decisions are not made centrally, but in a consultative, participative and transparent manner. This is exactly how our charity project should be created: not dictated from "above", but shaped by everyone.

That's why we set up the Charity Task Force - an open working group in which everyone can have their say and get involved. We had two goals: to support organizations that are close to our hearts and to do so with actions that unite us.

Which organizations should we support?

After receiving the green light from the Executive Board and the promise to donate a high four-figure sum, the marketing team presented the idea at the quarterly meeting in spring and received positive feedback from the entire Singhammer team.
This was followed by our charity lunches, both remotely and in the office. The aim of these lunches was to clarify which organizations Singhammer should support. We discussed, talked and listened in a relaxed atmosphere. The range of suggestions was impressive: children's projects, social initiatives, animal welfare, disaster relief, personal issues close to his heart. And because no one is excluded with Singhammer, colleagues who could not be there live were also able to contribute their ideas via the chat.

What was impressive was that there is social commitment in many of us - we just have to give it space.

The decision: Our 3 heart projects

After many suggestions, the question arose: Which projects are a particularly good fit for us? In the end, we decided on three organizations that convinced us with their regional and personal relevance.

When the temperatures drop in winter, it becomes life-threatening for people without a roof over their heads. The cold bus is out and about in the evenings, providing those affected with a warm meal and hot drinks - and above all with attention and humanity. Help that arrives immediately.

Children and young people need safety, security and prospects - especially if they have had a difficult start in life. The SOS Children's Village does invaluable work here, creating stable living spaces and accompanying young people on their path to a self-determined future.

Horses can open doors where words are no longer enough. "Helfende Hufe" uses animal-assisted therapy to support people, especially children, in difficult life situations - be it after traumatic experiences or in mentally challenging phases. It is work that touches and has a lasting effect.

Who gets how much money? Points instead of a watering can

We didn't just want to donate a fixed sum, but to make commitment visible and combine it with joint activities. That's why we introduced a points system in which every Singhammer employee can contribute:

✔ Cleaning the coffee machine in the office? Or clean out the dishwasher? Points for your favourite organization.
✔ Go jogging, hiking or bouldering? If you do sport, you get points.
✔ Active in a charitable organization yourself? Extra points are awarded for voluntary work.

Whether volunteering, exercising or helping in the office - every action counted. At the end of the year, the points collected per organization are counted and converted into donations. This is how many small moments became something big.

Together we have experienced that self-organization works.
And doing good together connects people in a very special way.

And that is perhaps the best thing about it...
